Thousands of people every single day consider ditching the morning and evening commute and starting their own business, for many people it’s simply a pipe dream brought on by the latest morning traffic jam or the thought of spending another day being bossed around or spoken down to by a clueless manager or supervisor. A few people however are actually seriously considering the move over from employment to self employment but think that they may lack the skill and the education to make it one their own, however that are many businesses, niches and trades that simply require the correct training, training that anyone can complete regardless of their academic status, one of these industries is the locksmith industry which is currently crying out for qualified locksmiths.
The locksmith industry has been steadily growing over that last couple of decades mainly due to an increase in the number of private landlords, rising crime rate in many urban areas and funnily enough more forgetful and clumsy people too caught up in the latest social media post to realise they that just locked their keys in their homes, office or vehicle.
Due to this increased demand for locksmiths there has been an increase in the number of untrained amateur tradesmen offering locksmith services – remember the locksmith industry isn’t currently regulated so anyone, regardless of their skill, training or competence can tout for business online or in the local press – and therefore an increase in bad feedback online for these amateurs. What this means is that once you are established as a professional, competent locksmith in your local area the work will come your way due to a rise in people relaying on online reviews and feedback, social media recommendations and word of mouth referrers.
There will always be have a go amateurs and untrained/unskilled locksmiths but these are becoming increasingly easier to spot as they’ll tend to advertise only on social media or sign up anonymously with one of those national call centres rather than opting for their own website containing up to date contact info and information about their business.
For you to train to be a professional Locksmith rather than simply touting for work without training or skill like one of the many have a go amateurs currently operating all across the UK you need to be taught face to face by a professional locksmith tutor, no cut priced online course or selection of ‘how to’ videos from Youtube can compete with one to one, hands on training which is why professional locksmith training colleges such as Train Locksmiths run more regular smaller classes rather than opting for less frequent larger classes like other locksmith training centres, which are simply designed to maximum the profits for the company rather than focusing on competent and successful training.
